
Mr. Jones became Bread for the City's Executive Director on January 2, 1996. He is responsible for managing all administrative, financial, and programmatic aspects of the organization. During his years at Bread for the City, the organization has tripled in size, and won numerous awards including the prestigious 2004 Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management. Before coming to Bread for the City, Mr. Jones served in multiple management roles at Chrysalis, a Los Angeles area nonprofit helping homeless adults secure employment. He began his career as an advocate/employment coordinator and live-in residential supervisor for the Chesapeake Community Services Board in Chesapeake, Virginia, and a relief counselor for Hampton Place Juvenile Detention Group Home in Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Jones holds a B.A. in Psychology from Norfolk State University.
